Hello friends! I’m excited to share that sign ups for The Snail Mail Collective are now HERE! Not sure what the Snail Mail Collective is? If you want the cliff notes version, then SMC is an international friendship and package exchange. Each month, you have the opportunity to be paired with one new friend, get to know them for a couple weeks, and then exchange a small themed package. We do our best to pair you with someone from another country so that you can learn about different cultures around the world! Want to learn more? Read all about it here!
For those who may not know, Chelsea and I have been running the Snail Mail Collective for six months now! During that time, we’ve had hundreds of participants from 30+ countries and have loved hearing all of your stories about meeting new friends and absolutely loving your experience in the program. We think there is a lot of value in SMC and we are so thrilled with its success since it began. Thank you for supporting it and us — you all rock our virtual socks! As you might know, I recently made a huge life change by moving back to California. Similarly, Chelsea is making some big changes as well. As much as we’ve loved watching SMC flourish over the past half year, we know that we just don’t have the time to run this program well anymore. Because of this, we’ve decided that December will be the last month for the Snail Mail Collective. We hope you’ll celebrate in one more friendship exchange before 2014!
Since Chelsea and I both love traveling and have lived the expat life, we thought it only made sense for our final SMC theme to be “travel.” As always, try to be creative with your gifts! No need to spend a lot of money — think small, but meaningful. 🙂

You have until 22:00EST on December 7th to sign up! After that, pairings will be posted here and on Lost in Travels on the 9th or 10th of this month. Please only sign up if you are willing to commit to participating and have read the full rules of participation HERE.
