Just started using Epic Blog and I am in love with it so far!
I recently bought it too! Can’t wait to dive in more. 😀
Thank you, thank you for this! I’ve actually looked a few times at Chapters for blogging books but couldn’t really find anything that seemed to be the right fit. I’m going to check these out! And the best part is that my birthday is coming up so I think I’ll add a few to my list 🙂
Hope you have a great night!
x Kathryn
Through the Thicket
Awesome! It’s hard to find blogging books at bookstores, isn’t it?! I
no thke you…
I’ve looked at a bunch of these books and I’ve already planned on ordering at least half this list! I might as well order the other half as well, right? 😉
I think that makes plenty of sense, Kendel. 😉
Well, my library had all but 2, some hold lines are longer than others… Either way I’m going to love the next couple weeks and months hearing when they come in! Thanks for the heads up!
WOO! I hope you enjoy them, Abby!
THANK YOU! I’m currently reading Girl Boss but I’m off to read up on some of the other ones 🙂
Sarah | More Than Adored
#Girlboss is a great one! If you liked that, you’ll love these other ones, too. 🙂
Great list! Going to check it out later 🙂
http://www.navellina.blogspot.com
Woo! Enjoy, Nadya!
Ooh! I’ve read three of these so far *pats self on back for doing homework*. I have to admit though, I wasn’t too impressed with A Beautiful Mess’ photo inspiration book, but that could just be because it’s not really my style.
Beth x
Go you, Beth! And that’s interesting! I actually heard the same thing about their Happy Handmade Home book. Was it because it was too scrapbooky/DIY rather than more professional/creative? I haven’t read either, but that’s what my assumption would be!
Thanks so much for this little round-up. I am thinking of buying two of these books on my kindle to ramp-up my blogging.
Rae | love from berlin
Woo! Do it! 🙂 And sidenote: aren’t Kindles the best? I love mine, too!
To be completely honest, I sort of have a love-hate relationship with my Kindle. I love that it is so portable and can hold like a gazillion books. I also love that it is backlit. What i don’t love? That there is no way to turn the backlighting off and that even if you leave it turned off for a long time, the battery will still drain down and need to be recharged. I also just feel like I don’t get into books as much as I do when they are tangible objects whose pages I can turn. 🙁 Still I think they are so great, esp. for travel.
I’ve already read a few of these and I’ll definitely add the rest to my wishlist.
http://insidesai.blogspot.co.uk/
Woohoo! I hope you dig the rest, Shari-Ann! 🙂
Thanks for sharing this! I’m looking to spend some amazon vouchers and definitely going to purchase 1 of these!
Awesome! These are the perfect little items for that. 🙂
Awesome- thanks for sharing this!
You’re so welcome, Kelsey!
Hi Melyssa, Interesting haven’t got any of these, if you had to pick one for the novice blogger what would it be?
I think Blog Inc is a great book to start with!!
Great I will take a look at the book.
Hi Justin! I’d agree with Elizabeth — Blog Inc is a great place to start!
Thanks Mel; it’s on order, now I just have to find the time to read it.
Ooooo! I want em’!
I would add Ruth Soukup’s book, “How to Blog for Profit (without selling your soul)” to that list. I am reading through it now and it is very good 🙂
Kristin // The Peculiar Treasure
athisfeetdaily.blogspot.com
Awesome! Definitely going to check that one out. 🙂
Love this!! Books are my favorite, but when we talk about books about blogging. That is epic. I’ve only read Blog Inc. But I really want to read creative confidence next! 🙂 Thanks for sharing!
Hi Gina, I’m currently reading Creative Confidence, and I am loving it! I definitely support your decision to read that next!
I want to read that one, too! I also love the cover, which makes me want to read it even more haha.
I actually just ordered Blog, Inc and it should be arriving today! I’m excited to get started and will definitely add a few of these to my Amazon wishlist. Thanks !

That’s awesome, Olivia! Happy reading! 🙂
Thanks for sharing. I see a few I want to check out 🙂
Woohoo! You definitely should, Erica! 🙂
I’d love to read some blog books, thanks for the ideas 🙂
Alice x
alzgalz.blogspot.co.uk
Anytime, Alice! 🙂
Thank you so much for this selection ! Half of them are already on my list ! I can’t wait to start reading them ! 🙂
That’s awesome! Sounds like you’re on the right track. 🙂
Great list! I had to pin it – on 2 different boards! 🙂
You are the best, Kimberly! 😀
Great list, I’ve added a few to my Amazon basket ready for my next order! I really recommend Get Rich Blogging which despite the title, isn’t entirely about monetising your blog. It contains great tips for all areas and niches of blogging, lots of useful resources and interviews with some top bloggers. I’ve also previously read Blog Inc which has really great interviews too, but I do think this is aimed towards the newer blogger. My newest purchases are How to Blog for Profit Without Selling your Soul, It’s Not How Good You Are It’s How Good You Want To Be, The Art of Social Media and Make Your Mark so I’m really looking forward to reading those over the next couple of months, before purchasing some of the above! Thanks for sharing, I really enjoy these sorts of posts.
Rebecca-Louise | Autumn Leaves for bloggers and creatives
Ohh YAY! I am so excited to check out your suggestions, Rebecca-Louise! Thanks for sharing. 🙂
When I first opened this blog post, I was really excited about the fact that I had recently read Blog, Inc. and am currently reading Creative Confidence. I’m even more excited about the fact that I know what’s next on my reading list! Thanks so much for sharing!
Woohoo! Sounds like you’re on the right track, Jessica! 🙂
I didn’t know there where so many books about blogging. I’m sure there are more but this indrustry seems to grow more and faster everyday!! I’ll definetly check some of these out, thanks for sharing 🙂
xx Cecil // http://www.wednesday19th.blogspot.com
Totally does! This is just the tip of the iceberg. 🙂
I have read about half of these and love them! I am adding the others to my list!
YAY! That’s awesome, Elizabeth.
I’ve got a good start on that list and the ones I haven’t already received I’m adding to my reading list now
Woohoo! Glad to hear, Alys! 🙂
I haven’t read any of them yet, but already by reading the titles I find them really inspiring. I’m definitely saving this list for later, and I will soon start reading a few of them. Thanks for sharing!
Indiellie | Bloglovin’
Awesome! Which one will you start with? 🙂
The Creative Confidence inspires me, so maybe with that one 🙂
I absolutely loved reading Blog Inc and I never heard of the Badass Blog Planner before and just ordered it. Thanks for sharing 🙂
Woohoo! I hope you enjoy it, Martina! 🙂
I am drawn to the Badass Blog Planner too – need to get some serious hits on my blog – am writing every day. Hang a left and come to see me at leavingmynormal.blogspot.fr
You should definitely check it out, Marcia! 🙂 And kudos to you for writing everyday. That’s awesome!
it is like an itch I need to scratch! Am loving the experience. How long have you been blogging and to what do you attribute your success?
That’s awesome! I’ve been blogging here for about two years. I think it’s been successful because, like you, I put a ton of time into it and worked hard to generate useful, interesting content. 🙂
Ahh, I’m so excited for this list, and so glad Sarah linked it (http://xosarah.com/2015/02/22/blog-love-133/) so I could stumble on it. I’m always looking for new reading material. I think #GIRLBOSS will be first on my list!
WOO! I’m always lookin’ for something new to read, too. #Girlboss is a GREAT place to start, Rebecca. Thanks for stopping by! 🙂
I just finished reading Manage your Day to Day. It was ended up being different than I thought it would be, but it was interesting to read how others create. I use Regina’s Epic Blog planner too and I love it – it was so worth the money.
I just got the Epic Blog planner, too! Can’t wait to dive into it. 🙂
I’m so happy you have the A Beautiful Mess book on here. It’s loaded with cuteness and inspiration!
Aw yay! I need to read that one! 🙂
a je mir
Nice list
Awesome list! you should try The Millionaire Next Door: The Surprising Secrets of America’s Wealthy by Thomas J. Stanley and William D. Danko as well
Ohh will be adding that one to my reading list — sounds interesting!
I’m working through Make It Happen right now. I adore #GirlBoss. And I want to read the Badass Blog Planner.
Ahh glad you have some similar favorites, Stacia! How is Make It Happen? I haven’t read that one, but it sounds really great.
It’s really wonderful, so far. I haven’t had a ton of time to dive in recently, but what I’ve read, I adore. 🙂 Have you worked through the Badass Blog Planner?
Yay! Can’t wait to check it out! And no, I haven’t worked through that planner! I did buy “Epic Blog” though, which is another blogging planner, and I really dig it 🙂
Who wrote Epic Blog? I may have to check that one out. 🙂
I believe it’s by Regina of byregina.com 🙂
Thanks so much! 🙂
Great list of books! I looked through the reviews on Amazon and decided on “Make it Happen”. I hope it is worth reading!
how are you in me iikaq po namn po ha ok naga po ha bakin ?..
WOO! I haven’t read that one myself, but it’s next on my list for sure!

I read the Desire Map. Very inspirational book.
Ahh yes, love that one!
Thank you for sharing these! Bookmarking them now. I wouldn’t consider #GirlBoss a book on growing a blog though. Although if you’re looking for a good read on entrepreneurship it’s definitely a worthy read!
Anytime, Stephanie! And it may not be about growing a blog, per se, but I do think many of the themes of online entrepreneurship and building a brand are the same. 🙂
Thanks for this list! Most of these are already on my to-read list. I’ll have to get started. 🙂
And why does that not surprise me!? 🙂
Thank you for the list, I need to read it 🙂
Glad to help, Wicky! 🙂
Interesting list! Have already read a couple of those, moving on with the other ones that are suggested, soon 🙂
Awesome, Howard! Which ones have you read?
I’ve only heard of #GirlBoss ….I’m curious to read others. I know a lot of bloggers are coming out with books, but I feel like it’s more so their personal experience, and not how-to’s.
True! Sometimes I find the personal experience books more helpful, if only for the immense inspiration I get from them. 🙂
Very true. I have yet to read #GirlBoss, but this is a great list to come back to.

W/Love,
Tayrina from TGAWrites
You’re so welcome, Tayrina! 🙂
I’m currently reading #GirlBoss. I think it’s super awesome. I uploaded a photo of it on Istagram and mentioned you. Ha! Hope you don’t mind, Melyssa.
Yay! I loved that book! And don’t mind at all, friend! 🙂
#girlboss is the bomb, i’m finished reading it and it’s taught me so much more about life than what they’re teaching us in high school. thanks for sharing that list! now i have more books to add to my TBR list 🙂
thank you for this list, I will be checking these out!!
Awesome! You’ll love them. So useful.
I’ve read quite a few of these already! My favorites are Blog Inc. and #Girlboss, and of course I love A Beautiful Mess!
Monica | monica-galvan.com
You’re rockin’ it Monica! Any others you’d recommend?
Can’t thank you enough for this!
SO happy to help, Ipsita! 🙂
So much awesome here. I am eagerly awaiting the beautiful mess book and I am off to start purchasing the balance of these. Jx
WOO! I hope the Beautiful Mess book is awesome. I bet it will be, those girls are so creative!
Great book suggestions! Girl Boss has been in my TBR pile for a while and The Badass Blog Planner definitely looks like a book that I should pick up.
A couple of other books that I would suggest:
Content Rules by Ann Handley and C.C. Chapman
Secrets to Blogging Your Way to a Six Figure Income by Darren Rowse and Chris Garett (for bloggers that want to make money from their blogs).
Likeable Social Media by Dave Kerpen (because bloggers should know how to use social media to develop relationships and find new readers)
We have a couple of more book suggestions here, if anyone is interested: http://professionals.wisestamp.com/bloggers/resources/5-best-books-for-blogging/
Thanks for the great article
Awesome suggestions, Simcha! I’ll definitely have to look into those. Thanks so much for sharing! 🙂
Thanks for these suggestions! I will definitely be reading Blog Inc., #Girlboss and The Bad Ass Blog Planner!
Wonderful! Those are great choices. 🙂
Thanks for these suggestions. I was scouting for a blog planner. With so many options, it was easy shortlisting Epic blog and The Badass Blog Planner looking them recommended by you.. Went for the Epic Blog one. Thanks again for the suggestions
Thanks for sharing this! Embarrassed to say that I don’t have any of them…YET!
Don’t be embarrassed! There are so many good books out there 🙂 Let me know which one you end up reading!
http://www.pustaka.co.in check this website for best ebooks. we can read or download free all types of ebooks, English and all south Indian languages.
I hope my book makes the list one day! It’s called Human Doing about transforming your life through authentic action.
It sounds like a great book, Lauren! Best of luck to you 🙂
Thanks for the list! I was just looking for my next blogging book this morning. My current fav is “How to Blog for Profit without Selling Your Soul” by Ruth Soukup.
Oh that sounds like a great book! Thanks for the suggestion 😀
I read get rich blogging, by Zoe Griffin.
Was a great help to get started. Now i am up and running i am extremely fustrated on how to get my blog seen and read and comments from readers!
That sounds like a great read! I’ll have to check it out – thanks for the red, Claire 🙂
If you’re having trouble getting traffic to your site, check out my free 6-day course on how to grow just that: https://melyssagriffin.com/blog-audience-blueprint/
Good luck and please keep me posted on your progress!
I just started reading ‘Get Rich Vlogging’ by the same author. Only a few chapters in but it will probably interest those wanting to get started in thw world of Youtube. 🙂
I haven’t ventured into Vlogging yet but when i do will make this a book to read first thanks
great thank you for the help 🙂
Great suggestions! #Girlboss is great and I’m stoked to see The Desire Map on the list! I’ve been facilitating Desire Map workshops and it’s incredible to see the positive changes in the lives of the attendees!
That sounds incredible, Katherine! Great job! 😀
Thanks for these suggestions!
Sure thing! Happy reading, Julie. 🙂
This is a very interesting list of books on blogging, it has intrigued me to explore the two books touching the very core of blog engagement “Creative Confidence” & “Idea Book”, I am going to check up. Blogging is such a fascinating innovation to the way we connect, communicate and build our own community, the more we discuss and exchange ideas on the topic of “Blogging”, the more we realize how little we know about the subject & the platform and what opportunity it can usher for us and what aspects of the latent potential within us gets awaken…
Thanks for sharing the list with us.
😀
Whoa. Thanks so much for your insightful comment, Nihar! Keep on learning and please keep me posted on your progress. 🙂
Thank you for the recommendations!! I’m struggling with my new blog so I wanted to find something helpful. Just picked up the blog planner through your link. I want to talk about so many things but realize I need a focus. What book do you recommend newbies start with typically?
For newbies, I actually recommend using the search function on my website and finding the resources you need to get up and running. When you need a burst of motivation or inspiration, I recommend checking out one of the books above. 🙂
Thank you! I’ll check it out. ????
Oh my goodness! Thank you so much for this list! I’ll make sure to read them. ????
Nice, Lisa! I hope you enjoy them! 🙂
You know, the big problem that I can see with this list Melyssa, is that I already have a million articles and posts (some of them yours) bookmarked and saved, that I have to read…..and now you’ve given me more choices! How about a post to teach us how to stretch a day to 26 hours, or maybe 27 or….I could really use that!
Haha, the struggle is real, Debrah! 🙂 There is never enough time, but I try to direct my focus to what’s going to move the needle forward and keep me on task 🙂
Thanks for suggestion , i was looking for something like this . and i have red the one EPICBLOG it’s amazing books learnt a lot of new things from it .
I ll check more in the list .
since i am found of reading and had lunch my online books reading blog .
Pashto PDF books
Currently adding all of these to my wishlist!
xx, Daeyz
